Taddy’s ready for 2013 Superenduro opener
KTM/Red Bull rider Taddy Blazusiak heads to Lodz in his home country of Poland where the newly crowned US Endurocross champion will take to the start of the 2013 FIM Superenduro World Championship. Winner of the event 12 months ago – then the second round of the 2012 Superenduro series – Blazusiak enters the race in impressive form having won each of the last six US Endurocross main events en route to claiming his fourth straight Endurocross title.

The defending Superenduro World Champion, Taddy is confident of getting his title defence off to a strong start while also excited to once again be racing in front of his home crowd. Receiving incredible levels of support at last year’s Polish event, second time around Taddy is once again looking forward to delivering the best show he can for his fans. As the opening round of the 2013 Superenduro World Championship Blazusiak is focused on doing all he can to secure a winning result, but knows competition will be tough. With an expected crowd of more than 8,000 people filling the Atlas Arena on Saturday night Taddy will also be hoping to repeat the hat trick of race wins he enjoyed last year – making a winning start to the 2013 Superenduro World Championship. With the second round of the Superenduro series taking place after the Christmas/New Year break the Lodz event also brings Taddy’s highly successful 2012 season to a close.

Taddy Blazusiak: “I’m really looking forward to the 2013 Superenduro opener, especially because it’s taking place in Poland this year. Last year the race in Lodz was really cool. Although I didn’t know what to expect the fans that came to cheer me on made it an unforgettable night. I know it’s going to be even better this year. Getting to race in Poland doesn’t happen that often so I’m really excited about it. Coming into the race almost straight off winning the US Endurocross championship is great. I’m feeling really confident and really am looking forward to getting back to racing. Last year the track was great and I know that the organisers will be doing everything to make this weekend even better. There’s some really strong competition, so there should be some great racing. As the first race of a new championship of course I want to start off with a win, and I know that’s what a lot of people are expecting me to do. There’s a bit of added pressure with it being my home race, as well as the first race of the championship I won last year, but I’m used to that kind of pressure. I’m going to focus on doing my thing, like I have all year, and I hope that’ll be good enough to get the win. It’s going to be a great event, I can’t wait…” (source: future7media)
