Overall victory for Joan Pedrero at the Sardinia Rally
Sherco rider Joan Pedrero has won the Sardinia Rally, which was the third round of the Off-Road World Rally Championship. Joan won the fifth and final stage on Tuesday which raced around Arbatax (214 km), the Spanish rider had a perfect race.

Joan raced very well on Tuesday, his navigation was spot on as the course was very challenging because it crossed the route that was used on the prior two days. At the refueling stop, the Spanish rider was  20 seconds behind Xavier de Soultrait (Yamaha). His emotions calmed and his motivation rose to a higher level, he honed his riding ability and went on to win the race! He proved that he could withstand the pressure from the competition. His mechanic Laurent Gat has done an outstanding job, both before and during the race. Sherco proved that they can win against the Yamaha and Honda armadas. The team, whose work has paid off, was advised by David Casteu during this race.

Pedrero won 46 seconds ahead of Xavier de Soultrait (Yamaha), 3rd place went to Monleon Hernandez (Husqvarna). The Sherco team congratulates Xavier de Soultrait who rode a most impressive rally because he came without assistance. (source: sherco)
