Taddy’s ready for X Games 18
Taddy Blazusiak is ready and looking forward to the third round of the 2012 US Endurocross championship, which takes place inside the Staple Centre, Los Angeles as a part of the globally celebrated extreme sports event X Games. The current Endurocross championship leader having topped the second round of the series in Sacramento, Blazusiak is focused on securing his second win of the series while also looking to claim a second consecutive X Games gold medal.

Enduring a tough time at the season opener in Las Vegas, Taddy overcame a fall in the first turn to work his way back to an impressive third place result. At round two Taddy showed exactly why he is the rider tipped to secure yet another Endurocross title as he produced a perfect start-to-finish winning result. Starting as favourite for the highly anticipated X Games Endurocross event, Blazusiak has spent the last few weeks training and practicing hard, increasing his preparations ahead of what he sees as ‘the big one’.

Taddy Blazusiak: “This is the big one as far as the Endurocross series is concerned. All rounds are important, but being a part of X Games is something extra special. Last year the event was amazing, this year everyone knows what to expect and it’s going to be something special, that’s for sure.

“I feel confident that things will go well. I’ve been riding and training hard in Spain during the last few weeks and everything’s been going great. Getting back on top of the podium at the second round of the series was important for me. At the season opener in Vegas I had a tough night, but felt like I rode really well. Winning the second round is what I needed to do and I’m hoping things will work out well again this weekend.
“The X Games Endurocross track looks like being a lot of fun. As always the start’s going to be key to a good race, and starting from the top of the ramp is something no one’s used to. Having the start lead straight into the track will be a lot better, once we get over the first few obstacles the racing’s going to be great. I can’t wait…” (source: global motorsport communications)
