Daniel Sanders’ rally came to a disappointing end. A crash on asphalt after eight kilometers of today’s liaison ended the Australians great performance at this year’s Dakar Rally. Sanders appears to have suffered a complicated broken elbow; also a kidney injury and a fracture of the left wrist. Daniel Sanders will remain in hospital overnight while undergoing further medical checks, ahead of expected surgery on his elbow tomorrow.
