Taddy edges closer to 2012 title
With just two events remaining in the 2012 US Endurocross championship KTM rider Taddy Blazusiak claimed an important win at the sixth round of the series in Everett, Washington, and moves one step closer to yet another Endurocross title. Winner of both the fourth and fifth rounds of the series, Taddy maintained his winning momentum in Everett to secure another important victory. Although made to work hard during the opening laps of the main event, he kept himself out of trouble during the 10-lap race to once again stand on top of the podium.

Recording the fastest time during the qualifying Hot Laps session, Blazusiak then topped his heat race to move into the final confident of a winning result. Starting well Taddy dropped behind Cody Webb for several laps before retaking the lead following a mistake by his closest rival. Knowing that valuable championship points were at stake, Taddy cautiously made his way through the second half of the race and following a second mistake by Webb claimed a comfortable win. Taddy was joined on the podium by Taylor Robert and Bobby Prochnau.

Taddy Blazusiak: “Getting another win is great, especially as we’re getting close to the end of the championship now. It was a good night for me. The Hot Lap session and my heat race went well, and I won the final – I can’t really ask for more than that. It’s kind of a difficult position to be in, knowing you’re leading the championship and that taking good championship points is more important than winning races. I felt like I rode well, but not at my best. I enjoyed the final, and am now a little further ahead in the championship. Just like the weeks leading up to this race I’ll now take a little time to rest, and then get back to racing at the next event and hopefully be able to get another win.”
