Beta Factory Racing’s Steve Holcombe will compete in the 2019 International Six Days Enduro having been
selected to represent Great Britain in the World Trophy Team category at the event being held in Portimao,
Portugal, November 11-17.

As part of Great Britain’s four-rider FIM World Trophy team, Holcombe has his sights set on helping Team GB
fight for victory at the 94th edition of the FIM’s longest-running off-road motorcycle competition. Steve will compete alongside Enduro World Championship regulars Danny McCanney, Brad Freeman and Joe Wootton,
with the team managed by former international enduro racer Daryl Bolter.

Steve Holcombe: “A lot can happen during the ISDE but winning is something I’m 100 per cent committed to doing.”

Steve last contested the FIM ISDE in 2013 as a member of the British FIM Junior World Trophy team where his results helped secure a third-place team result. Since then, during his six-year absence, Steve has focused his attentions on British, European and world championship competition, securing four FIM Enduro World Championship titles to date. With Britain last winning the FIM ISDE back in 1953, Steve feels he now has the experience necessary to help Team GB in their quest to try and end their 66-year winless run.

Steve Holcombe: “I’m really honoured to have been selected to represent Great Britain in this year’s ISDE. The ISDE is one of the biggest races of the year and as a team event it’s all about racing for national pride. I really believe that with the team we have this year we can go to Portugal and be seriously challengers. A lot can happen during the ISDE but winning is something I’m 100 per cent committed to doing and I know the guys – Brad, Danny and Joe – feel the exact same way. It’s been a very, very long time since Team GB stood on the top step of the ISDE podium, it would be incredible to put that right in 2019. Personally, I haven’t been to the ISDE since 2013 and that was before I became a professional rider. But although it’s a six-year gap, I feel that I’m returning with a lot of experience thanks to my four world titles. It’s a unique race – and with Team GB starting at the back of the field on day one it will make things tricky – but it’s also a long race, I know we can improve on that each day with good and consistent performances.”

The 94th FIM ISDE takes place in Portimao, Portugal on November 11-17.
