Beta Factory Racing’s Steve Holcombe has enjoyed a brilliant round four of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship, taking his first EnduroGP class win of the season. Continuing his impressive pace in Enduro2, the seven-time world champion added another pair of victories to his tally to further extend his championship lead.
From the GP of Finland in Heinola, it was straight to Skovde in Sweden for round four of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship for Beta Factory Racing’s Steve Holcombe. With a pair of Enduro2 class wins in his back pocket, the Brit was eager for more EnduroGP podium visits at the final stop of the series’ Scandinavian tour.

Right in the mix, Steve was at the sharp end of the results from the beginning of day one. Third in the Super Test, he kept his strong form rolling. Never too far off the leader’s pace, he ended the opening day third overall and a clear winner in Enduro2.

Hitting the ground running on day two, he enjoyed a string of top three times before winning the opening cross test. With the fastest time on the penultimate enduro test, Steve was leading EnduroGP with just two more special tests to go. Fully focused, he didn’t put a wheel out of place and ended the day as the EnduroGP class winner.
Steve Holcombe: “It’s been a brilliant weekend. After a strong ride in Finland, I managed to carry that form into Sweden. The tests were long, tough, and pretty brutal, but I knew it would be a long, tough event, and today I tried to remain patient with it all. Ending day one in third, again, I really wanted more and felt there were a few places I could improve. The lead came to me on the final lap, and I didn’t let go. It’s great to get back on top of the podium.”
